Shane Edward's Egerton Stud is located in the sensational Swan Valley of Western Australia. This is real horse country. Fertile soils, lush paddocks, sparkling fresh river water and a pristine natural environment create the atmosphere and surrounds that horses love. Indeed, this is horse heaven on earth.

Egerton Stud became synonymous with international breeding, whilst racing exceptional top class horses under the ownership of Mr John Roberts.

With the sad passing of Mr Roberts in June 2006, Egerton Stud evolved into a public training operation. Its headquarters is Egerton Stud, where horses are trained, spelled and agisted, strategies forged and ambitious targets formulated in a consultative manner with owners and highly trained staff.

All horse campaigns are carefully planned by experienced personnel with expertise in this most important area. Primary concern is always the safety and welfare of all horses, which are well treated by all staff.

Shane Edwards has forged a name for himself in WA Racing circles via the deeds of top liner's No Questions (Group 1 Karrakatta Plate), Westerly Breeze (Group 3 WA Oaks) and more recently Phenomenons (Listed JC Roberts Stakes and Melvista Stakes) and Cassandara Shadow (Group 3 WA Oaks).

With the results on the board and the communication with owners to match the professionalism of the larger eastern states stables, Edwards Racing will be one of the stables to follow into the future
